Some time ago, when books like "HTML for dummies" were proudly
flooding bookshops, lots of self-educated hackers were trying to
create their first homepage. Lots of those web pages had a common
trait - being amazingly colorful. Blues, pinks and greens were
dominating and right next to them were fountains of animated gifs and moving
texts.
Nowadays clean design is trendy. None of the two-dot-o pages blinks, unless it's an ad which is blinking. But you have to make a living of something.
I personally just wonder how much of this ranting about clean-design and usability is a matter of a actual trend. And when it will be cool again to have an old-school colorful homepage instead of a neat and boring blog.

linoleum is better than Ford T. It comes in two languages compared to only one color of a mentioned car. And hereby we announce the upraising of an English version of linoleum. We will translate existing strips taking our time (around two a week, maybe more). Meantime you can subscribe to English rss feed and be up to date with the progress and new strips later on. |
